“We absolutely love muddy boots. We look forward to it all week and I can genuinely see doodle learn and grow there. Magic, thanks so much.”

Muddy Boots Allotment Playgroup was set up in 2012 and is now entering its 5th year. It started with just a few mums and tots who wanted to spend time together outdoors and learn basic gardening skills. It has developed into a thriving community that offers a really unique playgroup experience.

If you enjoy being outdoors with your child, noticing the changing seasons, seeing how our food grows and learning what to eat to keep your body healthy, then this is the group for you!

A sunny corner of the Community allotment has been specially designed for this group using Permaculture Principles. There is a willow den, sand-pit, mud kitchen, digging area and child-sized tools provided.

Your child will have the opportunity to plant a sunflower seed and watch it grow, harvest apples, search for runner beans and spot butterflies, snails, spiders and frogs!

Each session is themed and includes a story, gardening activity, natural crafts, time for free-play and songs. Group members bring along healthy snacks and we have a shared picnic and drink under the gazeebo.
