Muddy Boots’ activities in December, of course, focussed on the coming of Winter and Christmas! So many lovely festive crafts were made, we were granted permission to use a fire-pit, opening up lots of new opportunities for cooking and learning
October saw the woods change colour from summer green to autumn red, yellow and gold. The final session of the allotment playgroup was mid month. It felt too early to end this year as the weather was still so beautiful!
Our focus this week at the Allotment playgroup was messy-play. Lots of activities were laid out and the children could choose to take part in what they wanted. It was lovely to have some bigger siblings along to this session
This week at the allotment we planted tomato, sunflowers, pumpkins and mini sweet-corns. We painted, paddled in the mud-pit, played in the sandpit and explored.
This week at the Allotment playgroup we learnt about the water cycle and what happens when it is rainy and sunny at the same time….. rainbows! We collected rainbow colours from around the allotment, had a snail hunt and planted
This week at Muddy Boots Forest School we made tree spirits called ‘Bogarts’ out of clay, leaves and flowers. We had a go at the Japanese art of leaf-bashing called ‘Hapa Zoma’ and did some painting onto canvas.
