Muddy Boots is based on the Leicester/ Leicestershire boundary.

Muddy Boots Forest School

Sessions run at Glen Parva Spinney and nature reserve in Glen Parva. The Spinney is a broadleaved woodland with a diversity of types of tree and many natural environments to explore including woods, meadows, streams and canals. We explore the woods and spend most of our time at ‘base camp’ where we set up tarp shelters, a fire area, a mud kitchen, craft activities and many varied and inviting child-led play ideas.

LOCATION. Sessions run at Glen Parva Spinney and nature reserve in Glen Parva. Follow the postcode LE2 9JD to see our general location. We meet under a large Oak tree outside Glen Parva memorial hall, where there is a library with cafe and toilet facilities. We hold our circle time on the park then set off on a five-ten minute walk through the woods to base camp.

PARKING. There is plenty of free parking at the memorial hall/ library on Dorothy Avenue. Postcode LE29JD or you can park on the surrounding roads.

Muddy Boots Allotment Playgroup

The allotments are situated behind houses on Aylestone Lane (B5418) (also called Stonesby Avenue) between Exeter Road and Brailsford Road. There is a small signpost marked ‘Allotments’ on Aylestone Lane that points you up a track into the allotment site.

PARKING. Parking inside the allotments is very limited, so please park on the surrounding roads. Please leave the spaces next to the community allotment free for people with mobility issues to use. The community allotment is on your far left as you enter the main allotment site. Follow the path and you can’t miss us!
