Booking are now open for the first two family forest adventures of 2019 at Muddy Boots forest school!
Bring your family to Glen Parva woods to reconnect with each other and nature. A fun filled day of seasonal activities, natural crafts, exploring the woods, wildlife spotting, den making, hot chocolate and home-made lunch cooked on the campfire! For kids aged 5-15 years with an adult
‘Forage, feast and fix’ Saturday 4th May 10am – 2pm
Forage for spring greens and learn how to prepare and cook them over a campfire. We could try nettle soup, wild garlic pesto or maybe spring salad. Learn how to tie knots and rig up a hammock and make a den. Use real tools and try making a fantastic wooden creation or experiment with printmaking and produce a beautiful artwork to take home.
‘Wild skills’ Saturday 8th June 10am – 2pm
Learn how to make a tiny fire safely using a spark from a firelighting flint. Make your own bow and arrow and see if you can hit the target. Try making a dream catcher using willow and found objects. We will also be cooking up forest school pizza over the campfire.
